Streaming 'motion' output - Raspberry Pi Forums

built cctv cam while ago , works fine, made workaround can see picture stream in chrome & can stream feed pc using vlc.
while cool, kinda came need screen, streams feed, got myself rpi a+, old camera monitor housing & 7" screen, fits in housing.
problem i'm facing is, can't figure out how feed streamed rpi a+.

here's tried far
vlc since worked on desktop, thought best way solve , indeed, brings stream, after 6 frames freezes. using

vlc http://ip:port
omxplayer read awesome stuff one, never load feed, something for while , tells me have nice day, never starts. using

omxplayer -o hdmi http://ip:port

mplayer had high hopes one, keeps on telling me cache full, upon increasing same issue continues.

appreciate & ideas! player needs 1-2 pictures every second low resolution aswell. think use rpi browser that, think streaming not efficient, streaming videoplayer.

it sound protocol not supported omxplayer. stream 720p (1280x720@25.00) omxplayer using around 7% cpu load on rtsp (cheap ip-camera, x264 stream).

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible). Smoothing Capacitor value?

hi everyone! i have question "smoothing capacitors". have 5v arduino project have 6 individual 5v components attached it. since need these running @ different times, wanted take similar approach of nick gammon's in helpful example (http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=12106) , use few mosfets switch these little guys on & off individually (instead of regular arduino pins), while minimizing potential power surges affect microcontroller and/or components themselves. these components 5v, , have maximum draw of ~170ma when powered on @ same time. so, if used 6 different mosfet switches turn switch +5v power line on each component directed via arduino uno, wondering: 1. still use 1 capacitor (like nick did in example)? 2. capacitor of 100uf work, or should use bigger? my plan first test circuit mosfets & capacitor(s) using usb, , later on, moving project battery power. thanks in advance ideas & suggestions! quote these little guys what ...
