Altering the way content is published - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm new joomla! i've spent 8 hours reading various admin guides , can't seem clear answer question.  want able allow registered users (of various roles) able add news items , calendar events front page.  however, want them able front end , want data entry screen bare minimum data entry fields job done.  want 1 button on page click submit news or event , want published , viewable front page.

i've looked @ "latest news" functionality comes standard joomla! , it's complicated non-computer savvy users.  don't want have wait "publisher" publish it.  don't want 2 wysiwyg edit areas , don't want functionality @ bottom of data entry screen (images/publishing/metadata)  want 1 simple button click on publish data.

i'd find out if feasible before decide switch web sites on joomla!, otherwise i'll stick hand written web pages , cgi-scripts functionality.

take @ facile forms (http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... itemid,35/ ) come sample form submit content. using on 1 on sites submit content front end. can modify publishes front page immediately.
