What (system) do you use for mechanical prototyping?
hi,
is there modular mechanical system can used build (the mechanical side of) prototype?
as kid used fischertechnik , there other systems out there, meccano technic lego (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/meccano#see_also)
i'm looking 'framework' build/test prototype, put motors/servo's, conveyors, sensors, etc, prove concept without going thoug 3d cad process.
you can take apart, modular , doesn't involve lot of cutting & drilling etc. again solid enough for, let say, desktop size proto.
so arduino solution mechanical side ;-)
looking forward input/how fix side of project.
links, sites, images welcome

surely depends entirely on it's prototype of i.e. properties , behaviour want provide.
