Analyse the frequency of a signal

hello,

i need analyse frequency of signal see if @ 100 hz, teach measuring frequency isn't enought. need compare phase reference signal of 100hz see if correct.

i want know how can produce reference signal of 100 hz arduino , compare phase phase of signal in entry ?

what kind of signal? pure sine wave, square wave, complex waveform?

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
