Thread: SMB shortcut that I can't delete

i attempted create link on 8.1 desktop xp folder. (i have samba , can browse , manipulate files etc going both ways, part works well)

in nautilus, when right mouse'd folder , selected make link, got error message saying not supported or that. moment later, shortcut icon appeared on desktop destination wanted. , works great.

here's what's wierd... can't delete shortcut, , doesn't appear in directory listings. terminal or otherwise.

i'd rid of link. reading ubuntupocket guide (which totally awesome. whoever did that) , experimenting of cool stuff in there , have retarded icon on desktop won't go away.

never mind figured out. mounted volume. had "unmount" it.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
