Thread: I know keyring is for security but can it get too annoying?

i know ubuntu, unlike windows, built security. after all, unix designed (back in 1960's believe) security.

however, appears me keyring on both ubuntu computers ask password little often.

prefer keyring or operating system ask keyring password when doing installing software. however, keyring seems pop on boot time time (i chose not require administrative password upon booting) , keyring pops (asking password) when open programs evolution email (and other programs , forth).

never had ms windows @ home. used mac os x (my old g4 cube powerpc getting way slow , dated , ubuntu). how mac os x seems ask administrative password things installing software. understand vista users complain computers bugging them password.

there way not use keyring or make keyring or ubuntu operating system ask password when doing of critical security sensitive (like installing new software , such).

click on applications/password , click on passwords tab. right click on password , choose change password, put in old password , not enter new, save , out of menu.
