RS232 connection with GPS sensor
i have old, still good, gps sensor (garmin 17n) communicates pc via rs232 cable. connect arduino due in order position , speed.
there's no problem software (i'm going use tinygps++ library), need clarifications hardware side.
i've done research on internet , found need convert rs232 connection ttl 1 and, this, i've read lot of people recommend max232 chip, found in shield: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11958
anyway, suppose works @ 5v and, searching 3.3v chip work due, found max3223.
do know these chips? work arduino due?
thanks in advance,
michele
