Newest version of Raspbian doesn't see steering wheel - Raspberry Pi Forums

i bought new raspberry pi 2 take advantage of faster speed. program using python-evdev have used on old raspberry pi runs on new raspberry pi.

steering wheel use python-evdev access recognized (as joystick) on old raspberry pi not on new one.

both raspberry pis run raspbian, version of raspbian running on old raspberry pi rather old. there need install on new raspberry pi recognize steering wheel?

can't remember installing on old raspberry pi, steering wheel works fine it.

tried installing newest version of raspbian on old raspberry pi, , steering wheel didn't work that. it's not new raspberry pi problem. new version of raspbian. must lack driver or something. don't know how fix it.

my guess driver present in older kernels no longer built-in or available @ in 3.18+ kernels. maybe provide more information steering wheel device. product name? model? link more information product might well.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
