Long Articles... a lot of text... how to deal with it

hello forum

i using flash 8. have display few long articles in flash. consist of titles, images captions , rollovers, links, author names, subtitles... know past experience can quite pain deal with. both setting , in terms of user experience.

a few concerns: moving around long text blocks can processor intensive in flash. no idea why... scrolling long text blocks can processor intensive , slow things down.

i thinking of maybe creating modules , maybe try displaying text via xml? have advice on that?

well.. yes guess i'm looking advice, pro's , con's on different approaches. insight appreciated.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
