Save Doesn't Work in Dw CS3

of sudden save no longer works in dreamweaver cs3 on xt(2) pc. @ first tried control-s , thought grabbing control character - doesn't work drop down menu file/save. weird save works. pain because asks me overwrite each time. or save work (after asking) when hit f12 test in browser.

i tried deleting configuration file didn't help. lost , frustrated this. oh, , works in ps, fw , fl!!!!

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
