i'm little behind here...is mx or mx 2004 compatible vista? if
are there major issues? i've seen bits , pieces in on-line
searches nothing definitive. in search, noticed director
isn't listed in adobe's product page after click on "view
products"

the programs have made , tested on vista work pretty well. main
issues vista's security model... if make program
writes folders not allowed (like program files) or
write registry areas not allowed (like
hkey_local_machine), run trouble , need rework
that stuff. far normal programs go, few problems.
biggest have had issue happens intermittently 3d
sprite (not dts) set background transparent has
red block behind it. can work around changing
renderer opengl.
adobe has not released info in director 11 when
it comes out (hopefully soon!), 1 of hte things did
that support vista.
