Thread: Mythbunutu and playback jumping

i've taken time through forums, can't seem right keywords find support issue.

running mythbuntu (jaunty edition) streamzap remote. reason mention remote because of annoyance i'm experiencing. during playback of recorded show or ripped movie, recording spontaneously jump forward or backward in playback. jump not confined single type, i.e. may jump few seconds forward/backward (analogous left/right event) or 10 minutes in recording (up/down event).

while watching tv, channel selection popup spontaneously (up/down event). hitting exit on remote clears selector.

or clues appreciated. thanks.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
