Thread: Dual Monitor/Dual Resolution?

i have single 22" 1680x1050 monitor setup in jaunty. considering second monitor , wondering if second monitor have match in resolution. ask because can bring home 1280x1024 monitor office rather buy new one.

videocard nvidia 8800gts support dual monitors...

no, resolutions not have match. have 1920x1080 + 1680x1050; in past had 1680x1050 + 1024x768.

lucky have nvidia card; nvidia-settings utility makes dual monitors extremely easy set (just select 'twinview' on second monitor, , else automagic.)

ati substantially more painful.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
