Masking MAC addresses of client devices - making a proxy? - Raspberry Pi Forums

hello pi people,

have set raspberry pi b wifi hotspot using hostapd , isc-dhcp-server edimax ew-7722utn. using raspbian installed noobs , updated using sudo apt-get update , sudo apt-get upgrade.

setup working quite well, set mac address of raspberry pi visible network connected (as understand it, host still see multiple mac addresses - of pi , of client devices - , networks block such router-like configurations).

if understanding correct mean creating proxy, relative newbie networking , don't how go this.

recommendations be? masking of client mac addresses easy procedure current working setup?

appreciate if responses kept simple , procedural; still new linux (i know how use sudo apt-get install etc. , edit files using nano little more this).

oh , please feel free correct misunderstandings have how such networks operate. have had conflicting information on whether possible network host or internet provider see mac addresses on other side of router (or pi acting router), or whether issue ip addresses.
