does know if there way communicate telescope through com port?

right have meade telescope lx-200 works through hand controller via com port want use raspberry pi on wifi move rs32 hand controller.

advice appreciated :)

it sounds interesting project , few google searches suggest might not 'that' difficult.

looks telescope's com port standard rs232 serial port, there information here (http://obs.nineplanets.org/meade/cable.html) pin outs , making connector.

raspberry pi has rs232 uart (another name serial port) see no reason why pi talk telescope.

surprised see manufacturers provide documentation on protocol telescope uses, see here http://www.meade.com/support/telescopep ... 010-10.pdf.

searched raspberry pi forum , found viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7628

possible.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
