Misbehaving Hall sensor A1102EUAT = UGN3140

hi everyone,

i've bought hall-effect sensor (switch in case there is  small op-amp encased) , can't seem working!
but weirder, it's working (partly) when reverse it's +5v , gnd...

let me explain bit more, sensor 1 :
http://www.selectronic.fr/capteur-a1102euat-ugn3140.html
i fed +5v arduino, it's friend gnd , put 10k pull-up resistor between it's output , +5v.
all far but... when probe it's output, stays firmly around 4,4-4,5v , doesn't react magnet can find.

now, out of mistake (i'm bad), put it's vcc gnd , gnd +5v and, surprise, gives me steady -4,5v when close magnet, switches +5v!! well, it's not behaviour i'd see, , not right polarity works in reverse... how come!!!????

and how can work right???

thanks help!

marc

for ugn3140 : flat side towards you, see text on it: left pin 5v , right pin output.
for a1102eua-t : flat side @ ! left pin 5v, right pin output.
are telling me made wrong connections looking @ wrong datasheet ?

when have output connected 5v or reverse voltage, sensor might broken.
i think 50% chance sensor broken.
the way describe okay. resistor of 10k +5v , output arduino input, or measure multimeter.
