Please Help - Flex Component Kit for Flash AS3
i've tried several examples of using flex component kit flash as3 , none of them working me. whenever run "convert symbol flex component command," following output:
command made following changes fla:
turned on permit debugging
turned on export swc
set frame rate 24
imported flexcomponentbase component library
symbol "ballcomponent" can used flex component.
select file > publish create swc file use in flex.
this appears correct after adding swc flex library, flex application not seem "see" new component. i've managed pull in components others have made flash as3 , component kit don't think i'm doing wrong on flex side.
i noticed in flash, flexcomponentbase not show in library after converting symbol flex component. additionally, nothing happens when drag flexcomponentbase library. doesn't show up. when go properties dialog exported component , try validate mx.flash.uimovieclip, following message:
a definition base class not found in classpath. please enter name of class defined in classpath, or enter default base class 'flash.display.movieclip'.
i suspected there wrong installation of flash cs3 or component kit uninstalled , reinstalled flash cs3, flex builder, , component kit same results.
i've seen same behavior flash cs3 9.0.2, flex builder 3 (tried both beta 2 , beta 3), , component kit 1.1.2.
has seen behavior before?

it sounds doing right things. have done same , used custom flash components created , exported.
one issue ( bug flex 3 http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/fb-11351 )
is can't see component in custom folder in design mode.
however, can still use in application inserting in source mode, e.g.
....
<local:roundedbckbutton id="fwdbtn" click="vidplayer.seekbwd();"/>
<local:roundedffbutton id="bckbtn" click="vidplayer.seekfwd();"/>
....
make sure provided proper namespace, e.g.
xmlns:local="*" in top container.
