Arduino and motor driver sharing a common battery supply

hi,

i want power motor driver , arduino board using same 12v lead acid battery. current draw motors 6.8a , 18.6a normal , heavy usage separately.

for single power supply this, know components or circuits should use protect arduino interference of motor? need put resistor in series arduino limit current or else prevent arduino resetting when motors draw lot of currents.

i pretty new electronics , arduino. please help. many thanks.

you use diode , capacitor.
or dc-dc converter make 7.5v arduino.
or three: diode capacitor , dc-dc converter.

with such currents , connected, should know how ground currents go.
the ground current motors should return motor driver , there return battery. current may not use detour using arduino ground go battery.
