different content to each language incl. frontpage??? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello, sorry asking old question read user guide , related threads in subforum , still couldnt find right answer.

i installed joomfish , mod_mainmenu_ml, both working far. kind use language chooser module change differen content, including items on frontpage.

i have chinese content providing lot of articles , news, have few equal content in english. form sections , categories english part seperately.

so mainmenu_ml can change different menu english part, how change frontpage items english part changing language? or isnt possible joomfish? read flaggs, how work, solution problem?

of course translate frontpage items via joomfish, problem is, english part shall have different items on frontpage isnt nessesarily updated same time when update chinese part.

i thinking creating blog-view of english categorie or section improvisate frontpage page english part, still land on frontpage items chinese part after changed english. there no automatic redirect page change of language.

or copy or create latest news module use frontpage think beginning page of english part. still automatic redirection needed.

i appreciate if 1 can come suggections or share experiences , ideas.

i try things out , comment in here if find usefull solutions.

joomfish isnt translation tool, more switch tool change parts of content displayed @ once.

so thinking if problem following:

use joomfish switch change id-number of categories , sections. because frontpage function contents marked shown on frontpage, nomatter wich category or section. , joomfish comes action , switches content of each displayed article content added "translate" function.

now have 2 sections 1 category under each section announcing upcomming releases, i.e.:

section 1 "cn_news" >> category 11 "cn_newrelease" content items 111, 112, 113
section 2 "en_news" >> category 21 "en_newrelease" content items 211, 212, 213
(each content item release annouces, named id-number way have clear overview)

now if frontpage loads content items 111 , 113 displayed on chinese frontpage theoretically following things make frontpage switch equivalent content in english:

a) let joomfish change section 1 display id 2
b) change category 11 21
c) change each content items id 111 211 , 112 121 on ...

but since there no content item id 111 under section 2, 1 can chose "translation" affect displaytypes deals whole section unit. same b). last posibility make sense each content item on frontpage.

but problem now, not able change id-field input type "referenceid", there no input form referenceid in admin.joomfish.html.php

so how can solve this? add input form referenceid?

i think if 1 can switch contentitem ids number, other fields wont make sense translated. if 1 deselect translate options in xml-files, no translations possible content items. make sense add new contentelement leaving out else id-field, 1 still can "translate" content of contentitems on content.xml?

would wrote above work @ all?
