Adding content??? Please help maybe simple question... - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

can me please? im new using joomla , think have figured out sections , static content, im trying add content in way cant seem figure out.

basically im making music site, problem discographies pages, company has own discography page include items company details of discographies individual artists involved company... have seperate pages artists, @ bottom of page want have individual discographies.

i have section called discographies , section called artists, im having create seperate pages each artist , @ bottom of page add discographies main discographies page im having duplicate information on page too... normal please or there better way without duplicating information???
i thinking of adding different categories under discographies section each artist, on artist page @ end of page entering php script reads sql database information on discographies containing artists name , displaying information under main information artist, make sense please??? apart on frontpage cant seem figure out how add different content items on different pages...

the joomla structure has sections contain categories contain content. content each section not apply across multiple sections (ie discogaphy category in 2 sections different within joomla).

i think best bet use phil's tags componant. tag each disk artist , have tag display page artists page. have play - should solve problem.
