If project is on C, how do multiple authors share?

hi all,

i've been lone author, , not be. we're going installing either robosource control 3 or third-party version control system in order 4 of access , work in same projects @ same time. however, i'm rather confused something. keep reading in user forum each author still needs have project on c drive , run , robohelp there, check in/out topics server. how other parts of project work, toc , index?

is project merely "manager," , toc , index , of other bells , whistles outside of individual html topics stored in separate files out on server, check-in/out every time make changes toc or index? if that's so, happens if 1 author makes changes index topic properties (index tab), , author modifying index @ same time?

i don't understand how works, , adobe articles poor job of explaining how works.

i appreciate or explanations!

the toc , index checked in , out of robosource control. being case, 1 person can make changes toc (or index) @ time. in fact, true of robohelp files--there handful of project files not source-controlled.

a copy of project files resides on pc. when open project, have opportunity download latest version of project pc. later, when make change topic, rsc check out topic you, giving exclusive access while make changes. when you're done, you'll check file (or multiple files) rsc. same thing happens if affect toc, index, or project setting.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible). Smoothing Capacitor value?

hi everyone! i have question "smoothing capacitors". have 5v arduino project have 6 individual 5v components attached it. since need these running @ different times, wanted take similar approach of nick gammon's in helpful example (http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=12106) , use few mosfets switch these little guys on & off individually (instead of regular arduino pins), while minimizing potential power surges affect microcontroller and/or components themselves. these components 5v, , have maximum draw of ~170ma when powered on @ same time. so, if used 6 different mosfet switches turn switch +5v power line on each component directed via arduino uno, wondering: 1. still use 1 capacitor (like nick did in example)? 2. capacitor of 100uf work, or should use bigger? my plan first test circuit mosfets & capacitor(s) using usb, , later on, moving project battery power. thanks in advance ideas & suggestions! quote these little guys what ...
