Saving and Loading variables in a .txt file (Offline)

i'm working software we've done flash, we'd want people able save variables selected. need them able save value of 10 variables in file on desktop, , able load file again.

is possible without having use php or stuff (that's why want make offline applications don't have use php able save files).

i know actionscript looks lot javascript , javascript it's easy do, saving functions blocked in flash security reasons.

if knows how that, save , load .txt file, please let me know. if possible change .txt whatever else better. file can still opened in notepad @ least looks bit more professionnal have our own extension. again in javascript or .bat file it's easy save variables whatever type of file, non existing types, creates text file unknown ending.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
