Beginner user needing urgent help with project.

hi everyone,

thanks in advance reading , potentially helping me situation.  let me first say, before discuss problem. arduino rocket science me.  know very little arduino , processing.  in mind, way describe things isn't using correct language, nor understand replies in arduino talk. ha.  i'm afraid have take things slow :)  our uni tutors gave day workshop on huge topic of arduino , result - know little.  ridiculous know....

ok lets begin.  project involves tracking someone's heartbeat whilst watch series of movie clips supposed vary heartbeat.   i bought heartbeat sensor - one:  http://pulsesensor.myshopify.com/ 

i've set pulse sensor arduino uno board, , have seems heartbeat blinking in time 13 pin led? on arduino board. 

what want have simple graphic in processing aswell - heart instance, flashes in time heartbeat.

it must sound simple guys me i'm @ loss , desperate simple processing graphic going this.

the code , info need on link above.  i'd appreciate if take time out , have tinker around it, maybe save code , pass on me try  really.  uni end of year deadline in 2 weeks it's quite important :/

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible). Smoothing Capacitor value?

hi everyone! i have question "smoothing capacitors". have 5v arduino project have 6 individual 5v components attached it. since need these running @ different times, wanted take similar approach of nick gammon's in helpful example (http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=12106) , use few mosfets switch these little guys on & off individually (instead of regular arduino pins), while minimizing potential power surges affect microcontroller and/or components themselves. these components 5v, , have maximum draw of ~170ma when powered on @ same time. so, if used 6 different mosfet switches turn switch +5v power line on each component directed via arduino uno, wondering: 1. still use 1 capacitor (like nick did in example)? 2. capacitor of 100uf work, or should use bigger? my plan first test circuit mosfets & capacitor(s) using usb, , later on, moving project battery power. thanks in advance ideas & suggestions! quote these little guys what ...
