Thread: is .bash_profile supposed to be empty?

i trying learn little shell scripts, , vim @ same time, , happened fast, i'm not sure happened. accidentally opened wrong file, opened real one, said swap files, next thing know real ~/.bash_profile empty file. supposed empty? thought saw stuff in before, maybe imagination?

i don't have 1 @ on jaunty.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
