Thread: Compiz System Freeze

recently started having real issues compiz. whenever have compiz running, stable until either:

1. switch emerald window decorator , maximize window, move mouse on minimize/restore/close buttons
2. open windows xp (32 bit) guest in virtual box 3 - bug occur when @ flicker occurs between login screen , windows loading splash

ways i've been able bug occur. when occur, system slow down , mouse go in , out of responsiveness. screen pixelate in areas around vm window or emerald-decorated window , wherever move mouse afterwards, , system freeze. monitors black out, , not, in case computer unresponsive (including alt+f2 or alt+f12) , hitting reboot button on case solution - however, computer not rebooting automatically or anything.

here relevant information setup. using geforce 8400 gs connected matrox triplehead2go digital powering triple monitor setup (not using xinerama, computer sees 1 huge 5040x1050 monitor). i'm running jaunty 64-bit , using nvidia 1.80 drivers (through built-in driver manager).

weird thing worked before same exact setup (save hard drive). had hard drive failure killed raid array why had re-install, else runs fine shouldn't cause of problem.
