pi killed my sd card?? (solved) - Raspberry Pi Forums

back story: per other post, got raspbian written 8gb sd card.

got hdmi cable , hooked tv. booted up, worked.

life good, right?? well......

today got in tft touchscreen bought off ebay. plugs gpio pins. plugged in , turned t on, nothing. not plug , play.

put small disc came in computer. there read me file on says contains special version of raspbian set work 3.2" lcd touchscreen, or such story.

now problem starts:

put sd card computer, , tried write new os screen on (did not try format first) got error message saying disc not big enough.

went computer , looked @ properties. says 8gb sd card 56mb. tried formatting in windows, still 56mb. tried formatting panasonic sd formatter, still 56mb.

why 8gb sd card recognized 56mb? did destroy something? if so, did wrong? can fix this?

use this format sd card.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible). (i figured remove components inside , fix pie inside , use extended usb cable , connect available usb ports respective holes in laptop skeleton, same headphone out ) . i'm noob when comes pi . on topic appreciated if screen lvds type may possible use screen installing converter board. this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/hdmi-dvi-vga-dr ... 3027&rt=nc need model number of screen , ask seller if work. or search ebay using brand , model number. assuming screen in working order..... back-light not burnt out etc.. other devices...... can used if have usb interface not part of motherboard. have make connector. raspberrypi
