Problem Connecting to Contribute on my mac/leopard

i having difficulty connecting website on mac. using windows system update , works fine. able connect using dreamweaver, or ftp if put same settings in contribute freezes on running ftp diagnostics testing rename. when happens bumps computer off internet , freezes entire computer. admin no longer works company, not have password, set user before left. advise? also, how delete , recreate new admin password?

look in contribute 'general forum'. saw several postings mac/leopard issue.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
