Outputting wav file directly to jack/pwm pin - Raspberry Pi Forums

as of right have pi wirelessly connected edimax wireless adapter. using client/server application made in c++ able connect pi computer/laptop. after established sent small wav file written onto pi , played through built in audio jack. first of want process close real time possible, therefore had code play file being written on pi, while still downloading. having delay of 5 secs enough playing of sound catches downloading , sound gets distorted, etc. right have earphones connected audio jack. time issue, fast solutions appreciated.

1.first of there way me skip/bypass whole writing part of file onto pi, , have go directly audio jack?(the answer need!)

2.i want connect speaker instead of earphones using, know there 3.5mm jack mono speakers, have 8 ohm mono speaker. anyway me connect pwm/gpio pin 18 believe. require amplifier, since i'm thinking speaker not audible earphones due large impedance.

3. don't know pwm pin on pi, better way go rather jack?

any media player mplayer or vlc should able
directly play file http server adjustable
buffering. other protocols might problem though.
