Audio conversion software

we're looking software can convert range of audio file formats - .mov, .avi, m4a etc. single format suitable output via captivate.
the 2 criteria conversion , compression of these various formats.

try audacity. free , quite @ letting select import , select export, including variety of formats. you'll need download lame plugin used mp3.

most of mp3 type players such itunes, rhapsody , windows media player let convert 1 format another.
