Placing Content where I want it - how? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i trying grips first joomla site , having probs.  version 1.0.11.

1)  want content in left div, below menu.

i want content in right div.

i want both editable user.

the right div content (defined frontpage) shows edit pen when log in user, left text not. 

i first tried making left text doing module-new , typing custom text box , assigning new module position.  looked fine, edit didn't work.

then read somewhere in here using newsflash , tried assigning position left.  displayed fine did not allow edit.  after lot of playing options, got edit pen displaying content name , clicking on - don't want display content name!

so how both bits editable?

2)  if say, wanted use newsflash module twice site (with different parameters) how it?  have clone files , install new module.

3) module-new do?  seems create empty 'thing'.

great little mod should in standard release pack.  can see myself using lot.

and never noticed copy module button clone many times want.

all questions answered.
