ISP and burning bootloader error

i using mega 2560 isp , target board arbotix. wires hooked correctly. first uploaded arduino isp sketch mega. set settings arbotix board , arduino isp , tried burn bootloader (also tried send sketch on arbotix same result) , responded invalid device signature? why happening? , how use -f bypass this? solution? thanks!

did add resistor or capacitor arduino mega's reset pin disable auto-reset feature?

are using proper spi pins arduino mega?  on uno 10, 11, 12,and 13.  on mega in range 50-53.

i recommend getting usbasp device.  can them under $4 via ebay.  come 10-pin icsp cable might want 10-pin 6-pin adapter, too.  add $3.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
