Help, any suggestions on this connection

i've reinstalled cf 8 on mac 10.4 server because of problems connecting mysql database using dwcs3 located on macbook pro client. cf8 had no problems in launching on mac 10.4 server before changed mysql datasource/connector setup , jdbc driver 1.5 1.4.; thinking problem in connecting db. i've created datasource connection in dwcs3 , successful data update. dwcs3 not show connections. binding tab shows recordsets, , server behaviors tab shows recordset, & dynamic attributes etc. dwcs3 database tab shows every connection except data source.
background information: 1. 2 servers 10.4, 10.5, clients 10.5 , windows computers.
2. windows using dw8 & cfmx7 works great, on problems both services on 1 machine. have yet upgrade cfmx7 8.
but mac's, can't started, @ times connections work minute. but, inconsistence crazy. want connection on mac's ds3 , cf8. i've tried using wsdl approach no success. mac 10.4 server houses coldfusion 8 , mysql 5. using 1.4 jdbconnector. dwcs3 on macbook pro 10.5 client computer. rds login works fine. missing!
