CAN bus traffic logger
i'm working on school based senior design project. project custom vehicle communicates on 250k can bus. using https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10039 shield interface bus.
for reason seem reading 40% of messages. got figure comparing total message count of using arduino uno+can adapter , different adapter(a kavaser virtual serial port adapter) on same time span. should logging 10000 messages or in 10 seconds, arduino getting 4000.
is arduino not fast enough messages? how can ascertain whether or not case, , if so, other options have?

that guess. it's tiny teeny wimpy little microcontroller. although may able send , receive packets on high speed network, doesn't mean can keep whole of network traffic if network busy.
the ability keep network traffic depend enormously on how efficient code - perhaps if post it, can spot whether there scope make more efficient.
