Problem with LCD Shield.

hi, i'm new arduino. have problem lcd pc1602ar, because not work in arduino mega  2560 board.

what problem? compatibility liquidcrystal library? should use lcd 4-bit library? or thing?

please. need help.

we need know more specific device have.  is 'shield' plugs directly arduino or separate pc board has connected jumpers?

i think 'powertip' part number , recall of them use non-standard pinout.

the liquidcrystal library should work if connect things correctly , set parameters correctly.

the lcd 4-bit library should deleted computer don't use mistake.  it poorly written library (read comments if want proof) cobbled before standard liquidcrystal library updated several years ago.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
