CSH ID dies when variable values are changed

in rh7 use variables product names. use map ids context-sensitive help. , output .chm.

problem when change value of 1 or more variables, first map id have created in project "dies". "dies" mean map id becomes invisible application .chm going used. first map id created in project (in case called # 1) appears affected; other map ids appear still recognized application.

in rh7 looks fine: problematic map id listed in csh setup in header file bsscdefault.h. (apart csh no longer working intended when .chm embedded in application) need tool htmlhelp forensics http://www.codeproject.com/kb/winhelp/htmlhelp.aspx catch problem.

when test .chm htmlhelp forensics, becomes evident applications can no longer see afftected map id.

anybody else experienced csh doesn't work after changed variable values?

this sounds suspiciously problem reported in recent thread:

1st row of ali-file not work

is possible encoding of map , alias files somehow being changed ansi utf-8? workaround suggested tom in thread work well?
