Thread: Logout On playing some videos

hello all,

have upgraded ubuntu 9.04 jaunty jackalope. have problem playing videos. have gmplayer, vlc, totem (gstreamer) installed on system (my system configuration in signature) tried playing videos on of them.
whenever try close mplayer using close button on window, system logs out (after showing strange colours)
similar thing happens vlc
, totem brings situation often. (mostly when try seek in while video playing)

can help? (i never had problem hardy or intrepid)

i, @ first, tried mkv videos , found out not of them show such behaviour of them do. started thread , stopped saying "problem 1 video". cant see association , pattern behaviour video unable played particular player.

i have laptop dead motherboard . can remove components laptop , in anyway possible connect raspberry pi inbuilt display , keyboard on laptop ? (and touchpad if possible).
