midi sequence > trigger industrial controller.

hi all
i purchased/had quick play pro micro board , hoping, little help, can 'button presser' me. arduino complete noob have quite bit of scripting experience.

background:
i have small pre cast plant uses phenix 10 channel controller controls batching of mixture used in our manufacture. linear sequence 'conducts' series of machines via various relays. editing sequence using supplied phenix software real pain, linear , synchronous makes overly complicated , not able expand next stage of development....enter midi (and not sure why hasnt been used industrial control language before??).
i have used cubase (midi sequencing program) many years , occurred me other day has perfect , mature graphical interface sequencing not music batch plant. each channel async. in other words can have 10 'tracks' each playing independent sequence of on off events. used midi drive light shows via friend's custom midi>light box.
in addition controlling channels, can add audio track cueing eg voice identifies directions during batch cycle rather generic warning siren etc used @ moment. should in directing workers more efficiently. require batching cycles counted, timestamp , written excel file etc prototyping eclectic setup;

• autoit used mast (host) coordinate input , output etc via various programs (because has winapi access trap kepresses, host com etc , can host midiox. calcs stop/start midi events , writes timestamped output text file linked excel provide charting , reports etc.


• cubase used sequencing program @ stage, not controlling hardware directly, audio cueing etc , master provider of stop start events.


• midiox com object used trap/handle midi realtime events eg stop/start etc  and pass mast.


• arduino pro micro used 'press button' on phenix controller. separately controller relay channels via midi comfy arduino...rome wasnt built in day

objective:
i want pass arduino 'something' (ie either midi start event or whatever easiest trigger) host (autoit) close pin , trigger start of phenix controller, ie replacing manual switch , having 'press button' computer rather hardware switch.

i have scanned forum , seems not hard setup roland midi driver respond there opportunity pipe vbscript direct arduino via com port.

any suggestions start/best practice brilliant. know pro performing menial task important , lead larger picture.
