Corruption issues

good morning captivaters,

i'm using captivate 3, , i’ve run few issues think relate file corruption… can't seem locate source of corruption.

issues encountered:

unable access text captions (a double click on text caption/object in timeline generates hourglass icon , no further response)
full motion recording not stop (in screen capture mode, end button not end full motion recording capture , screen capture continues 30 seconds after end button pressed)
generating save errors - message informs me not have rights save file (i sole captivate developer in company - no 1 else uses captivate).
my .cp file, prior publish on 44 mb, think excessively large compared similar projects have built. however, when publish, corresponding .zip file 2.5mb. pretty sure zip compression not effective...

i know these ‘symptoms’ broad , generic, , difficult pin down. have taken following steps towards rectifying issue:
i working off network drive (a source of corruption?), have since changed process , save local drive. since altering saving protocols, have rebuilt captivate session in question (which assume eliminates corruption derived working across network).
i have uninstalled , reinstalled captivate.

after these 2 steps, issues continue.

i have more adequate system resources (p4 3.0ghz 2.0ghz ram).

has encountered similar issues? suggestions appreciated.

cheers

simon
