why does fireworks auto format my documents to animated gifs?
i got cs3 , have problem fireworks. every time create new firework document second ad document, i.e. vector shapes, hotspots, text etc.. automatically converts document animated gif. try make rollover or image swap reads frames animation instead of roll over. saving different file types nothing. way fireworks lets use frames rollovers when open existing psd or jpeg , work there. why autoformat document? i've watch video tutorials , document types never change when added.
has had problem?

i've never heard of happening before. try deleting fireworks
preferences text file, , reload program. open optimize panel
and make sure file type not set animated gif.
